We customized the garden!

It's a lot of fun to assist people in customizing their garden.  Here is an example of the process from when I helped a young family over 3 Sundays one spring. 

Sunday 1: I visited the home and planned the garden with them.  We were able to decide on which existing plants would be moved or discarded, and what plants would be purchased.  We drew up a plan and made a list of plants.

Sunday 2: A month later (delay due to plant stock not being in at the garden centre),  I met the family at Garden Works where we picked up all the plants on our list that were in stock.  We all enjoyed the experience of being surrounded by an abundance of plants in bloom, and shopping - I get a 20% discount being a landscaper!  We then met back at their home, where I worked for some hours, getting the bulk of it finished.

Sunday 3: The following weekend we picked up the remaining plants and I finished the job.

I look forward to hearing how they like their customized garden this year.  Especially the raspberry plants I gave them from my garden - the kids are going to love eating directly from the plants!
